Viread - Generic Equivalent (Tenofovir)

CHEMICAL NAME Tenofovir (ten OF oh vir) 

Viread (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate) is a type of medication called as the antivirals. It is used to treat issues associated with low immunity, chronic hepatitis infection, hepatitis B or C replication and HIV infection. 

This is used for adults as well as children who are minimum 2 years old with a weight of 22 pounds. 

It belongs to a class of drugs called as Nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors or NRTI. This is used to treat HIV, hepatitis and similar viruses from causing harm to the body. 

Common side effects of using 

Viread (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate)

 includes - Headache, trouble sleeping, pain or discomfort, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. 

However, much serious side effects may include - 

• Liver issues
• Extreme Nausea
• Dark urine
• Yellowing eyes 
• Signs of jaundice
• Trouble breathing
• Unusual weakness
• Lactic acidosis

Do not use the Viread (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate  if you are allergic to it or if you have certain health issues like kidney, bone issues like osteoporosis, pancreatic or liver issues or signs of high lactic acid Take a deep note of the above mentioned symptoms and contact your doctor immediately.
