Hay Fever

Hay fever, or allergic rhinitis, is a serious illness with similar effects to a cold, is a common allergic reaction that happens at different periods of the year. This is known as seasonal rhinitis, sharing signs with annual (year-round) allergic rhinitis but arising during the early spring and summer months as a response to pollen from plants, trees and weeds. It will affect children and adults alike. Sneezing, runny nose, coughing, and the pressure on the sinus can occur. This is triggered by an allergic reaction to chemicals which are in the soil, such as pollen. The time of year that occurs relies on the person's response to growing drug, or allergen. Notwithstanding the name, hay fever doesn't imply the individual is allergic to hay and has a fever. Hay is not ever an allergen, nor is fever a sign.
